Child Care
The curriculum will provide a variety of activities and materials to encourage behaviors appropriate to each child's age, background, stage of development and individual needs, including adaptations for children with disabilities. Educational goals are promoted through daily teacher directed activities with focus on literacy, problem solving, critical thinking, communication, multiculturalism, and social skills within a meaningful context for the child, self-expression through art and music, mathematical and scientific concepts, etc.
Areas are provided to accommodate and encourage activities such as block building, dramatic play, art, music, science, technology, mathematics, book reading, writing, manipulative woodworking and sensory play (e.g., sand, water, tactile activities). Time and space are available for physical skill development and gross motor activities.
